Hi Michael, Typically, when you run software intended for bit, it's okay if you have a bit machine which I'm sure you do , because the x64 architecture is backwards compatible with bit. It's best to use the drivers that come with the installation media with your camera, the generic drivers should be used as a fallback plan, in my opinion.
