How to zip a bluej file

October 9th, , PM 2. Re: How do I export a program from BlueJ? I've never used BlueJ but it presumably works like other IDE's and compiles the java files your source files into class files. These are the files that are run by the java command so you just need to find these files. Depending how BlueJ is setup they may be in the same folder as the source files or they maybe in another folder, probably called something like 'classes'.

If your program consists of many class files you may want to pack them all into a Jar file which means you only have to ship a single file. BlueJ may even have a command for doing this. When in doubt read the manual. October 9th, , PM 3. Nothing opens. For example, the HelloWorld program would be: Compile the class. You should get the message "Class compiled - no syntax erors. If you don't see it on the desktop screen, look at the bottom of the monitor screen -- there are two BlueJ windows.

Then, right click on the yellow HelloWorld icon, and select void main args to run the main method. You will get the Method Call Dialog.

Since you don't have any command line arguments for this method, simply click on OK. BlueJ is open source software , meaning you can also download the source code. The copyright for BlueJ is held by M. Sign up using Facebook. Sign up using Email and Password. Post as a guest Name.
