Well, I shut it down last night, and it went to the automatic update which happens when you shut the system down. It updated fine, and the system shut down.
After that, it went to the Windows screen the green bar the comes while windows is starting right before the welcome screen for password, etc. At this point, it crashed, and restarted and crashed again and gave me an option for Startup Repair. I went through with it and after startup repair completed, the PC restarted and crashed again. This time when it went to startup repair, it kept searching for problems for a good 3 hours to no avail.
The Samsung Recovery Software refuses to work the recovery software page comes and it says please wait and thats where it stops on that screen for hours and refuses to work. The startup recovery refuses to solve the problem. Ive tried running the startup recovery through the CD that comes with the netbook a recovery cd i think using a portable optical drive i set the boot priority to usb cd instead of hdd. It still doesnt work through it.
The whole thing takes a long time to load and lags a lot. Samsung cant help me out since I'm in Pakistan and they dont have any service center here.
The guy at the International Notebook Service Center Helpline is away from his desk and ive been rerouted through his voicemail 16 times now they're useless when it comes to software issues as it is. When i try reinstalling windows, it shows me 4 partitions instead of the 2 that i have. One is the OEM Reserved partition i dont know what that is , one is the system partition dont know what that is either and one is C, and one is D although they're labelled by numbers and not letters.
I'm computer literate and know my way around a lot of stuff, but will need details, as i dont play around with the bios and the windows related startup things a lot. This thread is locked.
